I had do redo a bracket for the beacon. The wooden one I manufactured yesterday did not satisfy me. Now I did it from 1.5 mm EN AW 6082 aluminum. Later the day I bonded it with a special resin mixture (cotton/fiberglass/Thixo) to the fuselage bottom. Now the beacon only looks out as much as required and can be unscrewed through the bottom of the fuselage. After the paintjob I will need to add a thin silicone seal aroud it.
Note: Tape is only for preventive reasons to avoid resin to run on the glas while curing
